Job Scope:

You’ll acquire and profitably develop major clients buying International Parcel services in your designated Region, in-line with UK Mail expectations and performance targets.

Through your extensive International product & specialist knowledge, you’ll be an integral part of the process for the successful attainment, on-boarding and development of International customers by the Parcels Sales teams and their success in realizing their International targets.

Key Responsibilities:

To source, prospect and acquire International parcels new business within your designated Area to the required KPI’s as set by the Company through working closely with operational & site management. Ensure such accounts are appropriate and attractive for the Company, in particular, paying close attention to the contribution value to the Company.

Carry out scheduled visits to decision makers in targeted prospect companies. Using learned skills and personal knowledge and experience to close business.

To utilise your International product knowledge & expertise to support the Parcels Sales teams operating within your Region in achieving their International sales targets through co-operation with the Area Sales Managers and other Commercial Management as appropriate.

To maintain a thorough knowledge of all UKMail products and remain abreast of all new product developments. Ensure up to date knowledge of the cross border market, products and Competitor services are maintained.

Ensure weekly reports and other reports are regularly updated, i.e. CRM reports as required by your line manager, are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure weekly activity is in line with the activity targets as outlined through the weekly sales report. Regular calls will take place for which your forecast must be updated & available.

Maintain an in depth knowledge of the Company’s IT systems to include customer labelling, tracking and reporting systems and to train customers in the relevant features of these systems. Carry out installations of computer equipment at customer’s premises.

Have an understanding of your commission scheme and monitor your performance against your product targets. Develop written action plans to address any shortfalls, with specific timescales. Monitor progress against target each week by using relevant system information. Update your Line Manager each week on progress to achievement of targets.
